No Transponder Rental Fees, new classes and FOOTPEG SLIDERS
The upcoming event in Springfield on May 27th will have some
change and new rules. First of all there will be no
transponder rental fees. Probably the biggest complaint from
the last race was this fee, so it has been waived, however you'll
still be required to purchase a clip if you don't own one.
Some new classes have also been added. By
request the mini classes have been restructured to Super Mini,
Junior Mini and Adult Pit Bike.
Finally, the foot peg sliders. You will be
required to have these (except minis) in order to pass tech
inspection. This is the first step in keeping track owners
happy, and without happy track owners, we don't get to ride.

Springfield, IL Races Run Under New Name In 2007
Many of you know that Gateway Supermoto has promoted races in
more locations than just Springfield, IL, and our ultimate goal is
to bring more races and promoters to the Midwest region. For
2007 we have realized the second step of our goal and that is
finding a local group in Springfield, IL to take care of operations
there. For 2007, the five race series will be called the
Land of Lincoln
Supermoto Series. This is being promoted by a group that
have been racing with us for quite some time, understand our sport
and are anxious to grow the sport in the Springfield area.
Bill and I (Chris) will still be around, helping out instead of
running the show, and of course racing for a change. This is a
positive step for our sport in the Midwest and we look forward to
seeing everyone on the 25th.
The Land of Lincoln Supermoto Series site can be
found at:
http://www.brbpromotions.com/supermoto.htm, along with a pre
entry form.
MARCH 25 GATES OPEN AT 7:30AM, PRACTICE AT 9AM.

Expanded Schedule for 2007
As most of you know we normally have three races per year,
and we've always known that is not enough. For 2007 we decided
to expand the schedule to five races to give everyone some more
racing. We also have several other exciting changes coming
this year, which will be announced very soon.
